Harvard is a style of referencing, primarily used by university students, to cite information sources. In-text citations are used when directly quoting or paraphrasing a source. They are located in the body of the work and contain a fragment of the full citation.Include an in-text citation when you refer to, summarize, paraphrase, or quote from another source. For every in-text citation in your paper, there must be a corresponding entry in your reference list. APA in-text citation style uses the author's last name and the year of publication, for example: (Field, 2005).

The APA style is frequently used within the social sciences. However, the Harvard referencing style is used in the humanities and natural or social sciences. On the other hand, the parenthetical system of APA involves the author's surname and the year of the publication for example (Kennedy, 2015).
For every in-text citation in your paper, there must be a corresponding entry in your reference list. APA in-text citation style uses the author's last name and the year of publication, for example: (Field, 2005).
