Established in 2006, the Canadian Online Giving Foundation is a private foundation registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. Our mission is to realize significant fundraising across a broad demographic of donor users and effect the distribution of contributions to eligible charities as a donor advised fund.

Benevity is not a DAF or a direct donor. They're a company that uses a donor-advised fund sponsored by the America Online Giving Foundation (a public charity) to manage disbursements in the US. The fund is called the Benevity Community Impact Fund.

How much do we give? Total giving to charitable organizations was $410.02 billion in 2017 (2.1% of GDP). This is an increase of 5.2% in current dollars and 3.0% in inflation-adjusted dollars from 2016.
Cause Support Fee: This is a variable percentage charge based on the cost of vetting the program eligibility of the cause, collecting and processing donations, disbursing funds and preparing donor receipts and cause reporting.
