The 2021 ACL Festival lineup is headed by George Strait, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Rüfüs Du Sol, DaBaby, and Erykah Badu, each performing at both weekends of the event.
ACL has no plans to even discuss canceling,†the petition reads. “For the public safety of all that live in Austin, it's best to cancel the festival. The pandemic is not over yet, the virus is still mutating. We must do all that we can to stop this super spreader event.â€
3-Day GA+ Passes start at $989, and 3-Day VIP Passes start at $1,377. Single-Day GA Passes start at $400 for Friday and Saturday, with tickets dropping to around $250 for Sunday. For Weekend Two, prices are about 10% cheaper for 3-day and single day tickets.
Three-day wristbands for both weekends of ACL Fest sold out on the very first day in less than three hours. Depending in the lineups by day, the single-day tickets are also expected to sell out fast.
The show was created in 1974 by Bill Arhos, Bruce Scafe, and Paul Bosner. Beginning in season 15 (1990), Austin City Limits began broadcasting in Dolby Surround, and continued until season 24 (1999).
How Do I Get Tickets to an Austin City Limits Taping?
- You can't buy passes to ACL tapings.
- All public passes for Austin City Limits tapings are always given out in pairs.
- There is a lottery drawing held for the passes.
- Two or three days before the taping, randomly selected winners are sent an email.
In light of security, ACL has a strict bag policy. People are only allowed to bring small purses, totes and drawstring bags. Those bags may not exceed 14 inches by 11 inches by 5 inches in size. Bags with multiple pockets will not be allowed at the festival.
