What is the movie Kite about?
With the help of her father's ex-partner (Samuel L. Jackson) and a friend (Callan McAuliffe) from her past, an orphaned teen (India Eisley) mercilessly blasts her way through a dark milieu in pursuit of her parents' killers.
One technical definition is that a kite is “a collection of tether-coupled wing sets“. The name derives from its resemblance to a hovering bird. The lift that sustains the kite in flight is generated when air moves around the kite's surface, producing low pressure above and high pressure below the wings.
The first kites were what we today would call prototype kites: they were made of light wood and cloth. They were designed to mimic a bird's natural flight.
The highest altitude by a single kite is 4,879.54 m (16,009 ft) and was achieved by Robert Moore (Australia) in Cobar, New South Wales, Australia on 23 September 2014. The record was attempted at Cable Downs, a 50,000 acre sheep station in far western New South Wales, Australia.
Well, for many decades, the world kite-flying altitude record stood at 12,471 feet, set in 1896 by A. E. Sweetland and Henry Helm Clayton.

Kites played a role in providing intelligence for Chinese military forces. Kites were first made to measure distances, providing information to aid moving large armies across difficult terrain. They were used to calculate and record wind readings, similar to ship flags at sea.
The concept of zero as a written digit in the decimal place value notation was developed in India, presumably as early as during the Gupta period (c. 5th century), with the oldest unambiguous evidence dating to the 7th century.
Franklin's experiment demonstrated the connection between lightning and electricity. To dispel another myth, Franklin's kite was not struck by lightning. If it had been, he probably would have been electrocuted, experts say. Instead, the kite picked up the ambient electrical charge from the storm.
