Many dryers are equipped with a reset button on the control panel. If the motor won't run, let the dryer cool for about ten minutes.

A broken drive belt is the most common reason a dryer won't spin. A working belt should provide some resistance, so if the drum turns very easily and loosely, the belt is probably broken. Unplug your dryer and remove the lid so you can inspect the belt to confirm that it's broken.

If your washer will not start, be sure the switch is being pressed. If the lid switch is being pressed but no power is being supplied to the washers motor, then the switch is most likely bad. To test the switch, turn off power to washer and remove the wires from the lid switch.
How to Fix a Washing Machine That Won't Start
- Activate the power button.
- Test the outlet.
- Reset outlet if necessary.
- Make sure the power cord is plugged in.
- Check if fuses are blown or the circuit breaker is thrown.
- See if Delay Start has been pushed.
- See if Control Lock has been activated.
Power SourceMake sure the machine is tightly plugged in. Next, check for a tripped circuit breaker. Reset the breaker and try to start the washer. If neither is at fault, you may have a damaged power cord.
How to reset the washing machine:
- Press POWER to turn the washer off.
- Unplug the washer from the power outlet or turn the circuit breaker to the unit off.
- With the power disabled, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
- Plug the washer back in, or turn the circuit breaker back on.

How to Troubleshoot LG Washer Problems
- Adjust your clothes.
- Check the drum and drain filter for foreign objects.
- Adjust the leveling feet at the base of your LG washer.

- Contact LG customer support, if none of the previous steps help.

- Fix 2: Draining problems. Replace the pump. Tip the machine back and support it with blocks.
- Fix 3: Slow fill or no fill. Replace the water valve. Remove the water valve bracket and mount the new valve.
- Fix 4: Won't agitate or spin. Replace the lid switch.
