With Tegrity test proctoring, students can take exams and quizzes right from their computers as long as an internet connection is available. Our system allows the student to be recorded while taking the exam in the same manner as an instructor recording a lecture.
Remote web proctoringThis service, which is offered by McGraw-Hill's Tegrity division, Kryterion and others, simply uses the webcam to record students during an exam. Professors or others can review the footage later (or only in cases where they suspect cheating).
The codes — which typically range in price from $80 to $155 per course — give students online access to systems developed by education companies like McGraw Hill and Pearson.
Knowing this, the SmartBook asks students to "recharge" their learning, helping the student to review and better retain the material. The SmartBook will be available later this spring for more than 90 different courses.
When students are ready to take a proctored exam, they click "Test" on the Tegrity interface. Then they prove their identity by holding up a student ID card or some other form of identification to a webcam. They click a button to capture a still image of the ID. Next, they begin the exam.

SmartBook is an eBook that incorporates the adaptive technology of LearnSmart into the full content of a book, creating an individualized reading experience. As a student engages with SmartBook, the reading experience continuously adapts by highlighting content based on what the student knows and doesn't know.
The grade is based on a projection of your estimated performance at the final deadline. This assumes that you continue working as you have been so far. LearnSmart analyses how quick you are to learn, how you forget, and how long time you spend in the system each day.
LearnSmart is an adaptive learning program that uses your performance to determine how you learn. It knows when you need practice, when it's time for you to learn something new and when you're likely to forget material. LearnSmart can even identify your level of confidence.
