To secure a booking, the wing requires a deposit of £7,075 for a "normal" delivery (non-instrumental) and £9,785 for a caesarean section. There is also a 10 per cent discount on the standard delivery package available for mothers who have previously given birth at the wing.
Thomas' Hospital. According to the Care Quality Commission, St Thomas' offers some of the best maternity services in London and boasts state-of-the-art facilities. Home births are available, as are ward-based births. A full team of maternity staff includes Consultants plus specialist and Consultant midwives.
Having private care during labour from a private midwife costs anywhere between £2,000 and £5,000. Most independent midwives are happy to accept payment in instalments or flexible payment plans, and in some special circumstances they may consider caring for women for a reduced fee.

Royal babies are delivered by a royal gynaecologistAs per tradition, a royal child is delivered with the assistance of at least one royal doctor. The current royal surgeon-gynaecologist is Alan Farthing, while the royals' consultant obstetrician is Guy Thorpe-Beeston.

Three high-rise residential blocks were built to house medical staff, nurses and medical students—called Golding, Parsons and Cliff houses, respectively. Despite the move, the hospital kept the name 'Charing Cross'; at first it was called 'Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham' but eventually the 'Fulham' part was dropped.
Hammersmith Hospital was opened in 1905 as a workhouse infirmary. During the First World War, it was requisitioned as a specialist military orthopedic hospital before it became a general acute hospital in 1926.
