Ralph and Vanellope's relationship has many ups and downs, but in the end, they both remain very true to themselves and remain very good friends. Before Princess Ariel voice actress Jodi Benson was signed on for the "Wreck-It Ralph" sequel, she wasn't even familiar with the franchise.
Wreck-It Ralph 3 isn't on the schedule currently but a lot of other things are. Walt Disney Animation Studios' next project is Raya and the Last Dragon, which was just recently delayed until March 12, 2021.
