The peak of Mount Everest is made up of rock that was once submerged beneath the Tethys Sea, an open waterway that existed between the Indian subcontinent and Asia over 400 million years ago. Possibly as much as twenty thousand feet below the seafloor, the skeletal remains had turned into rock.
Having summited the mountain - safely and enjoyably - people's thoughts turn to the other Seven Summits (the highest peaks on each of the seven continents, an expedition I completed non-stop in the Millennium Year; so I speak from experience in saying that Kilimanjaro is the easiest and certainly the most popular.
The Annapurna Massif, located in the Himalayas in the north-central Nepal is known to be the world's most difficult mountains to climb. Even though according to recent data, Kanchenjunga is believed to have the highest fatality rate, Annapurna's difficulty level is still hard to match.

Mount Everest, at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft), is the world's highest mountain and a particularly desirable peak for mountaineers, but climbing it can be hazardous. More than 300 people have died attempting to reach the summit.
According to the BBC, most people who die on Everest are killed in avalanches. The third most common cause of death on the mountain is exposure or frostbite, which accounts for around 11% of fatalities. Other causes of death include falling ice, rope accidents, pneumonia, or even drowning.
K2 is a much steeper, more difficult and dangerous climb than Everest, and this is borne out by the statistics. While Everest now receives around 500 successful summits per year, in 2009 and 2010 nobody climbed K2 at all!

May 7, 1986 CE: Mountaineer Reaches All 'Seven Summits'
On May 7, 1986, Canadian mountaineer Patrick Morrow successfully reached the peak of Puncak Jaya, Indonesia. With this achievement, he became the first person to climb the highest mountains on each of the seven continents—the “Seven Summits.”Experts say crowds at Everest have also increased in recent years because expeditions have become more popular. Andrea Ursina Zimmerman, an expedition guide who reached Everest's peak in 2016, says that many "traffic jams" are caused by unprepared climbers who "do not have the physical condition" for the journey.

Conclusion. While both Denali and Everest are challenging mountains, Everest is higher and more technically challenging than Denali. Denali is harder in terms of support, since there's not much of this once you're on the mountain.
If you're experienced enough, it's possible to climb Denali without a guide. In addition to glacier experience, climbers should be familiar with the dynamics of longer-term expeditions: A Denali excursion can take three or four weeks.
Spend 5-7 hours per week doing general endurance training, starting to focus more on hiking / running / snowshoeing if possible and less on other exercises such as biking. Work up to a 2 hour-long workout at an easy pace each week. Keep with your routine of 1 session per week of conditioning.

To climb K2 from the Pakistani side, it is necessary to apply for permission from the Ministry of Tourism in Islamabad. The peak fee for south side expeditions is 7,200 USD for a team of up to 7 climbers, and 1,200 USD for each additional climber.The actual climbing on Everest is far less technical than, say, on Ama Dablam. But you still need to have certain skills and a level of understanding about the equipment you'll be using as well as pros and cons regarding certain situations.
