The molding machine heats the plastic until it is liquid. The nozzle of the injection molding machine then injects the melted plastic into the mold (injection pressure). The cavity of the mold is now filled with the plastic liquid. This will then cool down to form a solid product.

Plastic bags are made of LDPE (low density polyethylene) which melts at 248 F. if you had a constant temperature hot surface that you could guarantee to keep down around the melting point, you could do this just fine with no oil or wax!
One way to make transparent or translucent plastic at home is to use a plastic casting resin mix. These come in two parts, the resin and a hardener. When mixed together they form a hard, rigid plastic. Casting resins are usually clear and colorless, but you can color them using suitable dyes.
The links stop the molecules moving over each other so the structure is more rigid. The chains with small plasticiser molecules between them slip and slide over each other more easily. This makes the plastic more flexible.
