F, GF – Goals For (sometimes used in place of GS). A, GA – Goals Against (i.e., number of goals conceded by a team). GD – Goal Difference (i.e., difference between GF and GA, and sometimes denoted by +/-). According to the tables above, team A would win under the goal average criterion.
A save is awarded to a goalkeeper only if a shot otherwise would have gone into the goal. A goalkeeper can be credited with a save without catching the ball. To receive a save, the play must be a shot on goal. A goalkeeper cannot receive credit for a save on a cross.
While about 27% of shots on target are goals, it matters where you are when you strike the ball. Shots on target from outside the box are converted at a rate of about 13%, compared to 35% for shots inside the box on target. SiBoT are, on average, about three times better than SoBoT. Shot location matters a lot.

For a kickoff the ball is placed in the very center of the field. Each team must stay on their side of the field and only the kickoff team can enter the center circle. The player who kicks the ball first cannot touch it again until another player has touched it.
