While he is a guest at Hagrid's, Harry learns that while drunk and playing cards, Hagrid revealed to Voldemort that anyone can get past the three-headed guard dog, Fluffy, by playing music to him. Harry plays a flute he has brought, putting Fluffy to sleep and allowing his gang to go through the trapdoor.

During Harry Potter's first flying lesson, Madam Hooch had to leave the class unattended when Neville Longbottom crashed and fell from his broomstick. In her absence, Draco Malfoy discovered a Remembrall that Neville had dropped, and flew off with it when Harry demanded it back.
Fang was said to be born in 1984 and became one of Hagrid's pets shortly after. The dog was an over-sized black Boarhound, aka a Great Dane. In the films, Fang was portrayed by a Neapolitan Mastiff, an entirely different breed. The dog lived with Hagrid in the hut that resided on the edge of the forest.

Of the three main characters in the Harry Potter universe, Hermione has to be the most important. On April 16, Hermione is attacked by a mountain troll in Hogwarts. Harry and Fred and George Weasley come help her. They fight and kill the troll but Hermione dies of her injuries.
KEREBEROS (or Cerberus) is a greek mythological three headed creature or dog that was tied up by a greek hero called Heracles and which guarded the gates of the underworld. It was said to be found in Greece and Italy. After being given the task he went to Eleusis to learn on how to enter the underworld alive.
Snape then asks if the reason to keep Harry alive was to kill him at the right time. Dumbledore asks in response if he has finally taken a liking to Harry, to which Snape responds by conjuring Lily's doe-shaped patronous, meaning that he has and always will love Lily, and is his sole reason to protect Harry.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Fang and Hagrid participate in the Battle of Hogwarts; though Fang's exact involvement is not clear. He is last seen running away after a shattered vase frightens him. It's implied that Fang survives, as Hagrid is not seen mourning him at any time.
