Overnight camping by Lion, Tiger, Wolf, or Bear Cub Scouts as dens is prohibited. Webelos dens may participate in overnight camping. Lions, with their adult partner, may participate in child-parent excursions, pack overnighters, and council-organized family camping.
Tiger Scouts is an exciting scouting program for first grade youth (or 7 years old) ready to get going! Tigers do stuff - lots of stuff - and all with their adult partners. This program is intended to open up the world to inquisitive minds along with the caring guidance of adults.

Life. Life is the second-highest rank attainable, above Star and below Eagle. Life is awarded when the Scout serves actively in the troop, team or crew, serves in a position of responsibility for six months, and performs six hours of community service.
For example, the rank of Star requires you to earn six merit badges (including four from the Eagle-required list). Life requires five more (including three more from the Eagle-required list). And Eagle requires an additional 10 (including six more from the Eagle-required list) to complete a total of 21 merit badges.

The Webelos Scout Program prepares boys who have completed third grade or are age 10 but have not yet completed fifth grade or reached age 11 1/2 to bridge into a troop. Pronounced "WEE-buh-los", the word "Webelos" means WE'll BE LOyal Scouts.
2. CUB SCOUTING AND SCOUTS FOR OLDER YOUTH ARE NOT COED. In Cub Scouting, you can have a separate pack for girls, or you can have separate dens for girls and dens for boys in the same pack. In the case of troops for older youth, you must have separate troops for boys and girls.
Webelos is not an animal but an acronym used in scouting that stands for "We'll Be Loyal Scouts." In the early days of scouting, however, Webelos did stand for three animals that categorized the ages of Cub Scouts. Lion Cubs soon became obsolete, hence the Webelos was made to stand for "We'll Be Loyal Scouts."
If a Cub Scout has completed the first grade (or is 8 years old) and has earned the Bobcat Badge, the scout may start earning the Wolf rank. This part of the boy scout trail is intended to take one school year, preparing the scout to begin earning the Bear rank after completing second grade.
Cub Scouts: Cub Scouts are in dens, which are part of a pack. A den is made up of girls or boys of the same rank. A pack can be all-boy, all-girl or include a mix of all-boy and all-girl dens. Dens usually meet weekly or biweekly; packs meet monthly.
