I'd say, of every school, there's probably 60-100 left in the North with Kaer Morhen as the only "castle" left. It's also possible Geralt, Eskel, Lambert, Ciri, Vesemir, the Cat School Guy, and Letho are THE LAST WITCHERS ANYWHERE.
Players could explore the newly-styled Continent to continue Geralt's story. Most players spent between 25 to 30 hours to get through the main game. Those that wanted to complete the game fully spent about 50 hours doing so.

The Witcher 4 is not confirmed, but we know CD Projekt Red is working on another title in The Witcher universe. The Witcher 4, or whatever the next Witcher game will be called, could be about any number of things; there is plenty of lore that encapsulates the universe and the wonderfully dynamic characters.
And as viewers are soon shown, The Witcher is set in three different timelines. All three of the timelines, whether it's Yennefer's origin story, Geralt hunting monsters during a tumultuous time, or Ciri being driven from her home, serve a larger purpose to the narrative.
Original story: The Witcher fantasy began long before the excellent video games made by Polish studio CD Projekt Red. The Witcher was originally a short story published in a Polish fantasy magazine in 1986. Today The Witcher series encompasses three collections of short stories and five novels.
World SizeAccording to CD Projekt Red, Witcher 3 is more than 35 times the size of Witcher 2. Skyrim's game world, for example, is only around 39 square kilometers, making Witcher 3's world roughly 3.5 times larger than that of Bethesda's open-world epic.
In The Witcher 3, there are four main difficulty levels to choose from that range from easy (Just the Story) and incredibly hard (Death March). If you're playing The Witcher 3 for the first time after watching The Witcher on Netflix, choosing a difficulty like “Just the Story†may be the best option.
While the third installment in the series gives you all the freedom in the world, the second entry feels more self-contained and focused on its own plot. By being more linear, The Witcher 2 feels more focused and to the point, having quests and side quests that don't deviate too much from the base plot.
To play The Witcher 3 you will need a minimum CPU equivalent to an AMD Phenom II X4 940. However, the developers recommend a CPU greater or equal to an AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core to play the game. The Witcher 3 will run on PC system with 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10 and upwards.
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is arguably the greatest RPG ever. Anyone who says differently is wrong. It can take the unfamiliar some “effort†or time to get into it, but once you are there, you will not want to leave.
The Witcher 2 is an open world, non-linear RPG that features full, hands-on real-time combat and a branching story that's affected by your decisions. The third person action initially leads you to think that the game will play in a similar way to Lionhead's Fable, and in some aspects, it does.
If you are looking to play a Witcher game in preparation for The Witcher on Netflix – or after you've watched the first season – we recommend you play The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.
Completing The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings (all storyline and side quests) will take around 35 hours. If you want to complete the game in 100%, i.e. unlock all trophies, you'll have to spend 55 hours in game.
Upon its release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt became an instant classic, claiming over 250 Game of the Year awards. Now you can enjoy this huge, over 100-hour long, open-world adventure along with both its story-driven expansions worth an extra 50 hours of gameplay.

The Witcher 3 is easily the best game ever made. The visuals are stunning, and the sunsets still make modern games look like PS2 Era graphics. The side quests put the narratives of many other games' main stories to shame. But while these are all great, these do not make the Witcher 3 the greatest game of all time.
10 He Is Technically ImmortalGeralt, like other witchers, does not get sick or even show his age. He also cannot die of natural causes, so this means he can live for a long, long time.

Some Witchers live for more than 350 years, while Geralt is less than 100 years. The universe of The Witcher is vastly different from our own, it is a land where time and space don't quite make the rules, and it's not as simple to understand its timeline.
How many The Witcher 3 endings are there? Between the power struggles, love triangles, and wandering non-humans that fill The Continent, The Witcher 3 features a whopping 36 possible endings. The most important factor—the fate of Geralt's companion, Ciri—affects only three of the game's major conclusions, however.
Geralt dies during the last book during his time in Rivia. To protect them he killed several of the members of the mob. During the events, he got killed by a simple peasant after he impaled Geralt with a pitchfork. He is left to die until he is reunited with Yennefer moments before his death.

Witcher schools aren't canon to Andrzej Sapkowski's original Witcher books, but they're very much canon in the games--so, at the very least, it'd help those fans who play The Witcher games to know about each of the eight Witcher schools.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is great in so many ways —both small and big— that it's a better overall game than Skyrim. Some players spend hundreds of hours in Witcher 3 without any desire to stop. Fans of open-world games will likely enjoy both Witcher 3 and Skyrim. Nonetheless, many are more likely to enjoy Witcher 3.
The Witcher 2 is a fantastic fantasy action RPG. It has great characters, a good sense of humor, huge set pieces and battles, and a perfect blend of linear story-driven sections broken up by pockets of open world exploration. Even though it came out in 2011, The Witcher 2 still looks really good, too.
As someone who loved the show before the games or the books, who loves the games and books now, I can wholeheartedly recommend the importance of this first Witcher game to anyone interested in the series.
No, it was designed for mouse & keyboard.
In the end, The Witcher games happen a few years following both the books and Netflix's The Witcher. On the other hand, The Witcher games will also be amazingly faithful to the books in how they signify Geralt's world all around.
Four great new Xbox 360 titles are now playable on Xbox One thanks to Microsoft's ongoing commitment to backwards compatibility. The new additions to this growing catalogue of backwards compatible games are: The Witcher 2 (88% Metacritic score.) Crackdown (83% Metacritic score.)
As it turns out, the video games are not part of The Witcher canon, but when it comes to the Netflix series, it has taken some inspiration from them, but the books are the primary source.
