Hulu Is Better Overall, Sling TV Offers More Add-OnsIf you are determined to save as much money as possible, Sling's Blue or Orange plans might be a better option, though you have to be careful to check that your plan of choice has all the channels you want to watch.
Starting at $30 a month, Sling TV is one of the most affordable live TV streaming services available today. While the channel offerings and streaming quality are excellent, Sling's user interface leaves a lot to be desired. Sling TV comes with channels like CNN, TBS, Food Network, and BBC America.
Despite Sling TV's advertising itself as "a la carte TV," you can't pick and choose individual channels. As with cable, there's a set fee for a certain package. Sling calls its packages Orange and Blue, and differentiates them by channel selection and simultaneous stream limit. Sling Orange: $30 per month.

Orange gives you access to 32 live channels, including ESPN, CNN, BBC America, AMC, Lifetime, TNT and TBS. You can stream only one channel at a time, whether you're recording or watching live.
First scroll to the right on your menu and choose Settings. Then visit your Account. Here you can change your service by clicking Add/Remove Service. After clicking Add/Remove Service you can change to the Sling Orange base service, the Sling Blue base service, or select both Sling Orange and Sling Blue base services.
The lineup includes more than 50 live channels including A&E, AMC, Bravo, E!, CNN, Fox News, FX, HGTV, HLN, MSNBC and TLC. The service includes free cloud DVR and over 50,000 on-demand titles and allows simultaneous viewing on up to three screens.
The free offering includes breaking news and live events from ABC News Live, movies and kids' content for families and other lifestyle and entertainment programming. “Stay in & SLING,” as the free service is called, now includes thousands of shows and movies without the need to sign up.
Another reason why SLING is better than regular cable: SLING lets you stream content from your TV, cell phone, tablet or computer. You can watch on up to three screens at a time. Just like your cable provider, SLING also offers free DVR, only stored on the cloud, rather than an annoying cable box.
Sling offers two branches of its streaming service — Orange and Blue — each for $30 a month. Bundle both packages and you'll get a bit of a discount at $45 a month.
