The term BIOS shadow describes the process of ROM contents being copied to the RAM, where the information may be accessed more quickly by the CPU. This process is also known as Shadow BIOS ROM, Shadow Memory and Shadow RAM. Some computer BIOS setups may allow the user to enable and disable this feature.

This will open the Advanced page of the BIOS. Look for the memory option you want to disable. Unfortunately, because the BIOS is a pre-boot environment, you can't access it directly from within Windows. On some older computers or those deliberately set to boot slowly, you can hit a function key such as F1 or F2 at power-on to enter the BIOS.
Hold down the F2 key, then power on. That will get you into the BIOS setup Utility. You can disable the Fast Boot Option here. You will need to disable Fast Boot if you want to use the F12 / Boot menu.
How do I disable UEFI Secure Boot?
- Click simultaneously the shortcut Restart + Shift key.
- Click Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Start-up Settings → Restart.
- Click repeatedly the F10 key (BIOS setup), before the “Startup Menu” opens.
- Go to Boot Manager and disable the option Secure Boot.
Select UEFI Boot Mode or Legacy BIOS Boot Mode (BIOS)
- Access the BIOS Setup Utility. Boot the system.
- From the BIOS Main menu screen, select Boot.
- From the Boot screen, select UEFI/BIOS Boot Mode, and press Enter.
- Use the up and down arrows to select Legacy BIOS Boot Mode or UEFI Boot Mode, and then press Enter.
- To save the changes and exit the screen, press F10.
Quick Tip: Alternatively, you can also use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command, and then type msinfo32, and click OK to open System Information. Under “System Summary,” look for BIOS Mode. If it says BIOS or Legacy, then your device is using BIOS. If it reads UEFI, then you're running UEFI.
To determine if your motherboard is “seeing” all of your RAM, enter your computer's BIOS. To do so, restart your computer and press the key that appears on your screen while booting (often Delete or F2). Locate the system information section and look for information on the amount of RAM in your computer.
To exit Safe Mode, open the System Configuration tool by opening the Run command (keyboard shortcut: Windows key + R) and typing msconfig then Ok. 2. Tap or click the Boot tab, uncheck the Safe boot box, hit Apply, and then Ok. Restarting your machine will exit Safe mode.
