Check “Safari Bookmarks” on the leftto select all, or select certain bookmarks in the previewarea. Click the “Recover to computer” button torecover them. Tips: You can also restore missingsafari bookmarks on iPad from iTunes or iCloud backup. Youjust need to choose the other recovery options on the maininterface.
The following is a simple step by step formula tobackup Safari bookmarks on iCloud. The next time whenyour device automatically backs up to iCloud, Safaribookmarks and even history will be backed up along with yourother device data to iCloud.
Go to System Preferences → iCloud and make sure youhave a check mark in Safari checkbox. Launch Safarion Mac and open File → Export Bookmarks… fromthe Menu Bar. Then choose a place to save the Safaribookmarks and click on Save button. All yourSafari bookmars on iPhone are exported on your Macwith the HTML format.
To use your bookmarks, tap the icon at the bottomof the Safari screen; it looks a bit like an open book. Thisreveals your bookmarks. Navigate through any bookmarkfolders you have to find the site you want to visit. Just tap thebookmark to go to that site.
Here's how to export your bookmarks.
- Launch Safari.
- Select File > Export Bookmarks.
- In the Save dialog window that opens, select a target locationfor the Safari Bookmarks.html file, and then click the Savebutton.
- Copy the Safari Bookmarks.html file to a USB flash drive or toa cloud storage system.
- Launch the program and select Recover from iCloud Backup Filesmode.

If you've suddenly lost your bookmarks, or theyare not syncing, the first thing you should do is close andre-open the Safari app. Sometimes a simple restart of theapp can fix the missing bookmarks. Go to Settings >iCloud, and then switch the Safari setting to OFF on bothyour iPad and iPhone.

- Open Chrome.

- At the top right, click More .
- Select Bookmarks Import Bookmarks and Settings.
- From the drop-down menu, select Bookmarks HTML file.
- Select Choose File.

Safari toolbar, click the
Tabs button. Alist of open
tabs from your other supported
devicesappears at the bottom of the
Safari window.
Use iCloud Tabs
- Open Safari.
- Tap the Tabs icon.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list, below the images of tabs openon your device.
- Tap the one you want to open.
Tap on iCloud, and then swipe down to theSafari area. Tap on the toggle switch to turn on Safarisync ON. Tap on the Merge button that slides up from the bottomof the screen, and then you'll be all set. Give it a few minutes,and all your bookmarks will sync across your Mac andiOS versions of Safari.
Open a bookmark
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app .
- Tap More Bookmarks .
- Find and tap a bookmark. To open in a new tab or Incognito tab,touch and hold the bookmark.
When you switch your sync account, all your bookmarks,history, passwords, and other synced info will be copied to yournew account.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app .
- Tap More Settings.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Sync.
- Under "Sync to," tap the account you want to sync to or add anew account.
- Choose Combine my data.
How to Import Chrome Bookmarks to Safari
- Open the Chrome browser and click the Chrome menu at the topright corner of the window.
- Next , select “Bookmarks” and then go to“Bookmark Manager”
- Then, in the “Bookmark Manager” click to the“Organize”
- Select “Export bookmarks to HTML file” and save thefile on your computer.
Launch Safari. From the File menu, selectImport Bookmarks. Navigate to the bookmarks file youwant to import and click Import. From theBookmarks menu, select Show AllBookmarks.
Importing bookmarks to your iPhone
- Download CopyTrans Contacts from the following page:
- Install the program.
- Run CopyTrans Contacts and connect your iPhone.
- Next, enable Bookmarks in the Settings.
- Now click on “Import bookmarks”, navigate to thelocation on your computer where you saved your bookmarks, and click“Open”.
Apple Safari:
- Click on “Safari” located in the menu bar in thetop left hand corner of the screen.
- Click on “Reset Safari”
- Place a checkmark beside all available options.
- Press the “Reset” button.
- Click on the Hard Drive icon located on the desktop.
- Browse to “Users > (Users Home) > Library >Safari folder”
Step 2: Make a new sync passphrase (optional)
- In Chrome, at the top right, click More Settings.
- At the top, under "People," click Sync.
- Under "Encryption options," choose Encrypt synced data withyour own sync passphrase.
- Enter and confirm a passphrase.
- Click Save.
Click the Advanced sync settings button andensure bookmark syncing is enabled. Once you have ChromeSync set up, you can install the Chrome app from the AppStore and sign in with the same Google account. Yourbookmarks, as well as other data like your open browsertabs, will automatically sync.
