Once you have purchased a Netflix plan: From the home screen of your Roku player, select Netflix. Select yes to activate instant streaming from Netflix.
At the top of that menu is your user profile (as opposed to account). If you'd like to swap between different user profiles, there is a “switch user” button just below your profile picture. If you want to completely sign out of your account, go the bottom of that sidebar menu and you'll see a “sign out” option.
If you are selling or gifting the Roku to someone else, you can unlink the device from your account by heading to the My Roku page. Scroll down and under “My Linked Devices” click Unlink next to the device you're no longer using. That's all there is to it.
Roku 1
- From the main Home screen, navigate to Home and select Netflix. If Netflix is missing: Navigate to Channel Store, then Movies & TV.
- Select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.
- A code will appear. Enter this activation code at
Roku TV
- Begin from the Netflix home screen.
- Navigate left to open the menu, then select Settings. If you do not see a menu when you navigate left, navigate up and select Settings or the gear icon .
- Select Sign out.
- Select Yes to confirm.
- You will now be given the option to sign in as a different Netflix member.
If you are selling or gifting the Roku to someone else, you can unlink the device from your account by heading to the My Roku page. Scroll down and under “My Linked Devices” click Unlink next to the device you're no longer using. That's all there is to it.
How to sign out of Netflix on a Roku 4, 3, Streaming Stick, Express, and Roku TV
- Open the Netflix channel on your Roku. Choose a watch profile if prompted.
- Go to the settings menu on the left side menu. Select "Settings" in the side menu.
- Select Sign Out.
- Confirm your selection by choosing Yes when prompted.
Assuming an Android phone or tablet, tap the Apps square then scroll through to Settings. Go to More then Application Manager and clear the Caché, delete all data, untick Show notifications then tap Force Stop and finally Uninstall.
Press and hold the “Reset” button on the back or bottom of the device for about 20 seconds. Some models will require a paper clip to press the button. Continue to hold the”Reset” button, then remove the Power cord from the back of the unit. Release the”Reset” button, then plug all of the cords back into the device.
To deactivate your Netflix account:
- On the TV Box where you want to deactivate Netflix, press on the remote control, and then select Apps & More.
- Select Settings.
- Select Advanced.
- Select Deactivate next to Deactivate Netflix Device.
- Select Yes.
Click on "Your Account & Help" in the upper-right corner of the home page. Click on "Manage Netflix-ready devices and computers". Click on the "deactivate" button and click the button to confirm the deactivation.
To deactivate your Netflix account:
- On the TV Box where you want to deactivate Netflix, press on the remote control, and then select Apps & More.
- Select Settings.
- Select Advanced.
- Select Deactivate next to Deactivate Netflix Device.
- Select Yes.
Sign out of Netflix on your computer
2) Click on the profile icon on the top right and choose Account. 3) Scroll down under Settings and click Sign out of all devices. 4) On the next screen, confirm you want to log out of your devices by clicking Sign Out.Sign out from within the Netflix app
- Tap the Menu icon in the upper left corner of the app.
- Scroll down and select Sign Out. If you do not see Sign Out in the Menu, select Home, then scroll to the bottom of the app and select Sign Out.
Reset the Netflix app
- From the Home screen, select Settings.
- Swipe down until you locate the Netflix app.
- Select Netflix.
- Slide the Reset toggle to the On position.
- Press the Home button to return to the Home screen.
- Press the Home button twice and swipe right until you locate the Netflix app.
Sign out of Netflix
Navigate left to open the menu, then select Settings. Select Sign out. Select Yes to confirm. You will now be given the option to sign in as a different Netflix member.
