To replace an expired photo health card after the renewal date, you must visit a ServiceOntario centre. Bring two original documents from the Ontario Health Coverage Document List with you: one to prove residency in Ontario and, one to prove identity.
Starting from May 1, 2018, Ontario has made it possible to renew OHIP cards online at There is no fee to renew a health card either online or in-person.
Renewal notices for photo health cards are mailed approximately two months prior to the expiry date shown on the front of your card, but you can renew up to six months prior to this expiry date.
Expired stickers will remain valid until there is an update from the ministry of transportation. There have also been extensions put in place for drivers licence, health card and Ontario photo card renewals. Commercial vehicles weighing more than 3,000 kilograms must be registered in person at a Service Ontario centre.

What happens if I fail the test? You will remain a G1 licence holder until your licence expires or you pass another road test. You may also take the G knowledge and vision tests to requalify for your G1 licence.
You can now check the validity of a license by visiting the Ontario Driver's License Check website. If you're using the site on your mobile device, you can even scan the barcode on the back of a license instead of inputting the numbers. Overall the experience is super streamlined and in my test worked well.
Appointment Service LocationsCurrently, health card renewal and re-registration services by appointment are available online at select locations. ServiceOntario is increasing the number of offices where you can book an appointment.
If you only have a G1 or G2-level driver's license, you cannot renew it once it has expired. Instead, you will have to restart the Graduated License Program from the very beginning, which includes: Passing a written test to obtain your G1 license then waiting 8-12 months.
Temporary replacement licenceYou need to visit a ServiceOntario centre, when you return to Ontario, to replace the temporary licence with a new driver's licence.
If your driver's licence is lost, stolen or damaged:
- contact a ServiceOntario centre.

To switch your licence for an Ontario driver's licence, you need to apply in-person at a DriveTest centre or the ServiceOntario Bay and College location in downtown Toronto. You need to: take an eye test. bring originals of your accepted identity documents showing your legal name, date of birth and signature.
Deadline for expired vehicle licences ends on Tuesday (22 September 2020). Motorists who have not renewed their expired licence will pay about 10% penalty fees for each month. Traffic officials could also hand out fines up to R1000 for an expired vehicle licence disc.

What you should do
