If the power is working to everything else, but the monitor still isn't working, it could be the power cable for your LG monitor. See if replacing the LG Power Cable fixes the issue. You can call or contact LG to get a replacement power cable.
How to Disable DVI Power Save Mode
- Call Dell technical support at 800-624-9896 and request a DVI recover file driver, explaining that you are experiencing problems with your monitor repeatedly entering power save mode.
- Place a blank recordable CD into your computer's CD drive, and burn the "DVI_Recover_CDIMAGE.
If the cable run is too long, or of the signal has been split (using a non-powered DVI or HDMI splitter), this can cause the monitor to go black because the signal isn't strong enough. Assuming that the cables are plugged in securely, power on the monitor and check to see if the monitor keeps going black.

Usually, this happens on a computer which is a few years old, since its batteries will have run out after such a long time. (The motherboard battery is used to store various settings when the computer power is off, such as date and time. When your computer detects this battery is empty, it goes into a low-power mode).
How to wake up from power saving mode?
- The obvious way is to press keys on your keyboard or move your mouse.
- Basically we need to shock it into waking up.
- You can remove all cords and power to the computer.
- If you have a laptop you can remove the battery and the cords.
To turn Low Power Mode on or off, go to Settings > Battery. You can also turn Low Power Mode on and off from Control Center. Go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls, then select Low Power Mode to add it to Control Center.
Check the Power
Unplug the monitor from the wall. Unplug the cord from the back of the monitor. Plug the monitor cord back into the Monitor and a known-good wall outlet. Press the Monitor power button.Press and hold the power button on your computer for five seconds. This should bring the computer out of Sleep Mode, or it will do the opposite and cause a complete shutdown, which should allow you to then restart the computer normally. Unplug the computer and remove the battery if it has one.
When your computer won't come out of sleep mode, the problem could be caused by any number of factors. Right-click the first keyboard driver and select "Properties." Select the "Power Management" tab, then check the box next to "Allow this device to wake the computer." Some drivers may not have a Power Management tab.
The message - "No Input Signal" is normal when the computer truly goes into sleep mode or loses the video signal (such as when the computer is turned off). However, if the monitor displays any of these messages when the computer should be displaying video, something is wrong. Turn off the monitor.
To resolve this issue and resume computer operation, use one of the following methods:
- Press the SLEEP keyboard shortcut.
- Press a standard key on the keyboard.
- Move the mouse.
- Quickly press the power button on the computer. Note If you use Bluetooth devices, the keyboard may be unable to wake the system.
First, check your keyboard for a key that might have a crescent moon on it. It may be on the function keys, or on the dedicated number pad keys. If you see one, then that is the sleep button. You will likely use it by holding down the Fn key, and the sleep key.
The combination you should try out is Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B. It'll automatically restart the graphics driver and the screen should turn on from the Sleep mode.
