Book Creator online is available at app.bookcreator.com. It will work on devices that can run the Chrome or Safari browser - so that includes Chromebooks, Windows laptops/PCs, Apple devices such as iPads, MacBooks and iMacs, and other brands of handheld devices like Chrome tablets, Android tablets or Surface tablets.
Book Creator will only work on devices with a screen resolution greater than 600px wide and 570px high. You'll need to access the display settings for your device to change the resolution, or check that you haven't set your operating system to increase scale.
Teachers and students can now work on books together at the same time with real-time collaboration! Just turn on collaboration for a book and anyone in the library can then work on the book. This major update is something we've been working on for a while, and we're really pleased to finally announce it.
It's ludicrously simple. Just tap the export icon beneath your book, and instead of choosing ePub, PDF or video, choose 'Publish online'. The first time you do this, you'll be prompted to create a Teacher account, which you can do with your email address or with an existing Google account.
Along with publishing the book online and downloading the book as an ebook, the share icon beneath your book now contains the option to Print. This will allow you to either send the book to a printer or export it as a PDF.
To get your library code the easiest way is to click on Show invite code for others to join link that you'll see in the centre of the screen, just below the toolbar. This reveal your library code, which will be a 5-digit code like this: This is the code which students will use.
Create your class libraryEach teacher gets 1 library with 40 books for free when you sign in at app.bookcreator.com. Login as a teacher, then create your first library – you'll get an invite code so your students can join. It's as simple as that – a great way to organise and share your books.

Sharing Book Creator Templates with Students:
- Tap the Share Arrow at the bottom of the book.
- Export as ePub (This will keep the file as editable)
- Tap the Showbie App.
- Select the Assignment.
- Select specific students or share with everyone.
- Tap add File.
Creating another libraryClick on the Teacher Dashboard icon in the top toolbar (the 3 lines in the far left of the toolbar). This will bring up the Teacher Dashboard, like below. Find the Create a new library button and click it. You'll need to give the new library a name, and you'll see the optional library settings.
Speech to text is a feature included in Book Creator online, where you simply record your voice in the text box by pressing the microphone. On iPads, dictation is built into the device, just tap on the microphone icon on the keyboard when you have opened a text box.
Book Creator is a digital book-making tool with limitless options, suitable for students of all grade levels. It's available for both iPad and the web (including Chrome, Safari, and Microsoft Edge).

- Click the Books button beneath any book.
- Choose Combine books.
- Select the books you want to combine - choose them in the order you want them to display in the book.
- Click Next.
- Give the new combined book a name.
If a student is already in Book Creator, and wants to join a new library, they click on the 3 line menu in the far left of the toolbar in the toolbar, and they'll see the link to Join with a code. This applies to teachers too, but instead they'll open up their Teacher Dashboard.
You can add as many co-teachers as you like. First, the teacher will need to join your library using the code you give them. Then, you will be able to use the Author picker dropdown (found on the left of toolbar, underneath the library name) to promote that teacher to a co-teacher.
You can also add new pages by clicking the Pages button in the toolbar. Then use the 3 dot menu to copy, move, insert or delete the page. Click on the Back button to go back to your book (or if you're using the iPad app, tap on a page to go back to your book).
Our online app works on Android and Windows devices. This works on all devices, including Android tablets and Windows PCs and laptops. This Chrome app means Book Creator is finally truly cross-platform, with all the features of our iPad app now available on any device.

* Send your book by email. * AirDrop to iPhone, iPad or Macbook. Book Creator supports iBooks' fixed layout format, including double page images and soundtracks. Fixed layout books are not suitable if you want to create novels, where text flows from page to page.
