With O2 Refresh we automatically lower your bill when you've paid off your phone. O2 Refresh splits your Pay Monthly bill into two parts. The Device Plan is the cost of your phone or tablet, and the Airtime Plan is the cost of your data, minutes and texts.
Pay monthly mobile phone tariffs allow you to make one monthly payment and usually include a set amount of minutes and texts. Pay as you go tariffs allow you to top-up your phone with credit in advance and then use your phone until that pre-paid credit runs out.
The Ultimate data Bolt On costs £13.50 a month and you can use up to 2GB of UK and Europe Zone data each month. To OPT IN to the Basics data Bolt On send a free text message containing the keyword "BASIC" to 21300 or call free on 2202 from your O2 mobile.
You can send an SMS with the word "Balance" to 20202. Alternatively dial 4444 FREE from your mobile to hear your balance and to top-up. Alternatively key *#10# then press the call button and your calltime balance will be shown on your display.
This means you can change your airtime tariff up or down, once a month. Simply sign in to My O2, and choose the tariff you want to move to. If you move to a lower tariff, you could lose some of your benefits, even if you later move back to a higher tariff.
That amount will stay their indefinitely as long as you keep the sim live by topping up by 999 days and make a call every 6 months. If you top up £10 it will give you 3000 O2 texts and 50MB data which is valid for 30 days, but the £10 is retained to use as you wish.
You basically have two options when it comes to your old phone: you keep it or you ditch it. That's the basis of it, anyway. If you decide to keep your device, then you at least have a back-up plan in the case that something happens to your new phone.
If you're new to O2, changing your O2 contract, or leaving O2, it's easy to keep your mobile number. Switching between networks? All you need is a unique code, called a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) or STAC (Service Termination Authorisation Code).
If you're upgrading your device and plan, you'll keep the same phone number. Or, if you're joining us from another network and want to keep your number, find out more about switching to Three.
If you're on O2 Refresh, you can upgrade early with nothing to pay upfront. Just pay off your Device Plan as soon as you like and choose the new phone or tablet you want. Sign in to My O2 to see your options.
Your SIM will be ready to use within 24 hours. Until then, keep using your old SIM and device. When you're no longer able to make calls or send texts with your old SIM, your new SIM is ready.
When you get your new device it will come with a brand new SIM Card. Your old SIM Card should fit too, but it is recommended that you use the new one.
Most carriers don't require you to pay an upfront down payment before receiving your phone and beginning the repayments. Once you reach the minimum number of months in your upgrade plan, and provided you've made all your repayments, you will be invited to swap your phone for a new one.
Most shops have a 14 or even 30 day return period when you can get your money back no questions asked. If you're within this period, no probs. Take your phone in its original packaging with your receipt back to the shop. If you cannot find a returns policy, it's worth trying anyway.
Yes you can upgrade it. Log into your My O2 and click on Change Tariff and it will show the options available to you. If you are not sure via your Myo2 then you can also speak to Cs on 202 from your phone or visit an O2 Store where you will be helped.
Any data you haven't used will automatically roll over to the next month, as long as you're still renewing your data package. The only other times your data won't roll over are if you cancel your monthly package, or one of your monthly payments doesn't go through.
To qualify, you'll need to say that you have a 5G-ready device when ordering your unlimited data SIM card from O2's website. They'll send you a 5G-ready SIM which you're able to use on O2's 5G network. If you don't have a 5G-ready phone, you'll be sent a unlimited data SIM card to use on O2's 4G network.
Your Pay Monthly bill will still be split into two parts – your Device Plan is the cost of your phone or tablet, and your Airtime Plan is the cost of your data, texts and minutes. You'll just need a monthly rolling Airtime Plan for the length of your Device Plan.
To buy more data now, sign in to My O2. Or call 2202 from an O2 mobile, or 0344 809 0202 from any other phone. And you can still use wifi.
To switch to Big Bundles, you can visit o2. or call 2202 which is free from your O2 mobile and select a Big Bundle to transfer to. If you're switching to Big Bundles from another tariff, you won't receive your new inclusive monthly Big Bundle allowance until your next tariff monthly renewal date.
