Step 1.Cast Android Audio from your Android device
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
- Open the Google Home app .
- Tap the device you want to cast your audio to.
- Tap Cast my audio. Cast audio.
It is possible to cast from most smartphones including Android to TV by using the HDMI adapter. Any phone which has a USB C port can be connected with this adapter, which in turn can be connected to your TV. Your phone will need to be compatible with the HDMI Alt mode to allow the phone to send across videos.
Cast all Android audio to Google Home
- Ensure your Android device is connected to the same WiFi network as your Google Home.
- Open the Google Home app for Android.
- Access the side-menu of the app and tap Cast Screen/Audio.
- Tap the “Cast Screen/Audio” button.
- Select the Google Home device you want audio to play from.

Google Home supports Bluetooth streaming and you can play music from iPhone or Android on Google Home. The latest firmware update from Google allows users to stream audio from any Bluetooth device to Google Home.
All you have to do is uncheck the share audio option and then cast. What will be transmitted will be the video to the TV and the audio will be left on your desktop/laptop then you can just mute it, or just mute the TV externally if your main goal is to just cast the video only.

Using coaxial or Ethernet cable, connect the TV Box to the appropriate wall outlet. Connect an HDMI cable from the TV Box to an available HDMI port on the TV. Turn on your TV monitor and switch the input to the appropriate HDMI port. Follow the steps to pair your remote control to operate your new TV Box.
If you want to watch LIVE TV, you can do that via the internet as well – apps such as TV Player offer a selection of live free-to-watch channels, streamed to you over the internet.
The most popular cable TV service is the UK is Virgin media where the phone, internet and TV service can all be provided by same cables connecting into your house. Cable TV is not available in all areas of the UK so this may a limiting factor in your location.
The new Chromecast with Google TV has Bluetooth support, which is great.
How to Chromecast from Android device
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap the Account tab.

- Turn on the LG Smart TV.

Chromecast is a device that you plug into your TV's HDMI port, powered by a USB cable (included). Using your smartphone or computer as a remote control, you can use Chromecast to access video content from Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, the Google Play Store and other services (Xfinity Stream just got Chromecast support).
Google TV devices (including the Chromecast with Google TV) have access to Android apps and games specifically made for TVs. If you want an app that doesn't appear in the Play Store on the TV, you can “sideload” it.
You can use your Chromecast device without Wi-Fi, and still cast all of your favorite content to your TV from another device.
Set up and link a new TV
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or display.
- Open the Google Home app .
- At the top left, tap Add Set up device.
- Tap the home you want to add the device to Next.
