A goodybag is a plan that is packed full of data and comes with unlimited minutes and texts. It lasts for a month and can be set to recur automatically. If you run out of data before the end of the month, you can start your next goodybag early. You can use your goodybag both in the UK and in the EU.
SIM only works just like a contract which means it can be for a set term or rolling and will give you a monthly allowance of data, minutes & texts according to what you pay. You pay upfront and are not tied into any deal or contract. Our giffgaff goodybags work just like pay as you go deals.

They all last for 30 days and all come with 4G data.
Your Pay As You Go credit is converted into a one-month allowance of minutes, texts and mobile data. Giffgaff has a range of goodybag bundles from £6/month. You can Pay As You Go at 25p/minute, 10p/text and 10p/MB. When you're using giffgaff on a traditional Pay As You Go basis, there's no need to top-up every month.
On most major Pay As You Go networks, you'll normally be able to leave your SIM card unused for up to 6 months or 9 months at a time. Providing you use your SIM card for a chargeable activity during this time, your account will remain open and your Pay As You Go credit will never expire.
Log in to My giffgaff. Go to the Buy a goodybag section. Click Select on the item that you want to add to your account. If you wish to add more airtime credit at the same time, click Select against the amount you wish to add (see note below).
What happens if my internet slows down? You'll still be able to browse the web but playing videos and movies won't work. Your full internet speed will return at the beginning of the next billing month, when your data plan resets. Some providers allow you to go over your allowance without slowing your connection.
Hi there - when it runs out you will no longer be able to call and text as you would with call and text allowance. If you have credit on the phone then this will be used up instead. Your number will still receive calls and texts just as if you had minutes and texts though.
Easy peasy. Pop over to "my payments" and you can change your recurring goodybag, turn off recurring, or turn it on again. Alternatively, download the giffgaff app. It makes managing your account a breeze.
If your mobile data isn't working, but calls and texts are, there may be an issue with your Access Point Name (APN) settings. Pop over and check them on your phone settings. On Android devices, they can usually be found in the Settings app under Mobile Networks/Networks, Mobile Network, then APNs.
Go to "My giffgaff" . You will see a message button saying "Start Your Next Goodybag Today", click on this button to start the queued goodybag right now. The same operation is also available from the goodybag page. The queued goodybag will immediately replace your live goodybag.

When you join giffgaff your goodybag is automatically set to recur. This means that when your current goodybag finishes you'll get a new one right away with no interruptions.
You can find your giffgaff number via the following methods: Visit your giffgaff dashboard - your number will be displayed under your username. Text NUMBER to 43430 - you'll get a text back within a few minutes with your number.
Always On means you never run out of data. You get 80 GB of blazingly fast 4G speed data, then a reduced data speed of 384 kbps from 8am to midnight. You may notice that activities which require high amounts of data, like HD video streaming, will be slower if you go over the full speed cap.
There's also an unlimited data plan (or 'Always On' as Giffgaff calls it) which lets you go beyond 80GB but caps your speeds at 384kbps from 8am to midnight once you exceed 80GB.
Giffgaff offer a decent range of data allowances and most plans come with unlimited texts and calls. If you already have a phone and just need a SIM plan, it's a good and cheap option. Be aware there are cheaper ways to buy a new phone.
Both goodybags provide unlimited data, and one provides 3G, and the other 4G, and the always on goodybag allows you to use your device's tethering / wifi hotspot feature, using the first 6GB of your always on data allowance.
A 40GB data plan will allow you to browse the internet for around 480 hours, to stream 8,000 songs or to watch 80 hours of standard-definition video.
Mobile Data Limits. A 20GB data plan will allow you to browse the internet for around 240 hours, to stream 4,000 songs or to watch 40 hours of standard-definition video.
