Whether returning or coming to the United States, all dogs must appear healthy. And if your dogs are coming from a high-risk country for rabies, they must have valid rabies vaccination certificates to enter the United States. Dogs must be at least 12 weeks old to get the rabies vaccination.

In order to travel, your dog will need a pet passport which you can obtain from certain registered vets. If your regular vet can't issue a passport, they will be able to point you in the direction of one that does.

There's a number of costs involved in getting a pet passport. These vary considerably based on the individual requirements of different countries. Generally, it will be compulsory to get a pet passport, which costs around £60, a microchip for your pet, as well as a rabies vaccine or booster.
Train rules:Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, unless sat in a carrier. Dogs must not sit on the train seat and doing so could result in you being charged. Do not take your dog into the restaurant carriage. The only exception is if they are an assistance dog for the blind or deaf.
Can I take my dog on a bus? – it depends on the company you are traveling with! Unlike trains, there is no national legislation requiring buses to accept dogs, and although dogs are allowed on board lots of bus services, some restrictions and charges apply.
Every cab/taxi company and driver will have a different stance on allowing pets in their vehicles. The best thing to do is to call your local company and to double check before you book that your pet is allowed. Some Uber drivers also allow pets but you need to call as soon as you've booked to check with the driver.
Most ferry companies do not allow foot passengers to take pets, but DFDS allows you to take a cat or dog with you as a foot passenger on these routes under the PETS travel scheme, as long as the animal is caged, see the pets page on their website.
The passenger has to reserve the whole compartment in the train. 2. A passenger travelling in First Air condition class or first class may take a dog into the compartment only with the concurrence of fellow passengers on payment of charges mentioned above. The charges are prepaid.
Now, Amtrak is changing that policy thanks to a bill that requires Amtrak to accept dogs and cats as passengers on their trains. The bill sets up a pilot program that requires Amtrak to allow pets in at least one train car as carry-on baggage. Any dog that is too large will not be allowed to ride.
Most airlines will allow you to take a cat or small dog in the cabin for an additional fee. But you must call the airline well in advance; there are limits to the number of animals allowed in the cabin. If you are transporting your dog, make sure they meet the size requirements.
If you have a First Class train ticket, you're welcome to travel with assistance dogs and well-behaved dogs on leads. Other small animals can also join you in First Class, just so long as they're in a comfortable carrier with room to stand up.
Once on the Eurotunnel train, dogs must stay in the car at all times but, unlike on the ferry (see below), you can also stay with your dog in the car. The fact that the Eurotunnel is a fast service and our dogs are not left on their own at any time makes this our preferred option for leaving the UK with our gang.

Jamaica is very safe for tourists. The issues with gang violence that have made the news don't impact tourist areas. It's a police crack down on the criminal element and is nothing to fear.
Jamaica has a history of previous Zika Virus transmission. There is currently no evidence of an ongoing Zika Virus outbreak. However, there is limited information available and there may be delays in detecting and reporting new cases. Take meticulous anti-mosquito bite measures during the daytime.
U.S. citizens are generally required to present a valid U.S. passport when traveling to Jamaica, as well as proof of anticipated departure from Jamaica. You do not need a visa for tourist travel up to 90 days.
