At its core, narrative technique is the way in which a writer conveys what they want to say to their reader and the methods that they use to develop a story. The individual elements of different narrative techniques can be broken down into six distinct categories: Character. Perspective. Plot.
General technique. Essays need to have a beginning, a middle and an end. The introduction should outline the problem, explain why it's important, and briefly outline the main arguments. Don't start with a dictionary definition – this is clichéd and boring.
