In effect this is one of the phones Trump tried to ban, but as it happened the Honor 20 had already passed through the Android certification process before Google was forced to stop working with Huawei.
Android 11 marks another useful yet insignificant upgrade for Google's mobile OS. While the redesigned media, screenshot and permissions controls are convenient, the additions to messaging and notifications aren't where they need to be to make a difference yet.

IST 02:04 pm: Huawei has announced that the stable EMUI 11 update will be out shortly for the Huawei P40 series and the Huawei Mate 30 series in China. Mate 30 series users on version 10.1.0.160 will get the update to version 11.0.0.145 and P40 series users get the update from version 10.1.0.162 to 11.0.0.145.
Thus, the Huawei P30 Pro being a one and half-year-old device still qualifies to the latest Android 11-based EMUI 11 update. EMUI 11 will be the second biggest update for the device since its official debut in March last year. Huawei rolled out the Android 10-based EMUI 10 update for the P30 Pro last year.
Honor 20If you don't need the extra storage or better cameras of the Honor 20 Pro, you might find the Honor 20 is a good enough phone for you. The device has the same design build and many of the same features as its Pro sibling, and you're not getting a significantly worse phone despite the lower pricetag.
Pre-May 2019 Huawei and Honor phones will continue to get security updates and current devices that due to get Android 10 will still get it. Huawei laptops will get all the Windows updates in the traditional manner. But newly released Huawei phones can't use Google services and this is set to be a long-term issue.
September 8, 2020: Google is rolling out Android 11 to all of its Pixel phones, except for the original Pixel and Pixel XL that were released way back in 2016. This was expected since Google only guarantees three major OS updates for each Pixel phone.
“Google is prohibited from working with Huawei on new device models or providing Google's apps including Gmail, Maps, YouTube, the Play Store and others for preload or download on these devices,” Tristan Ostrowski, legal director for Android and Google Play, wrote in the post, which was picked up by 9to5Google.
Just like its siblings in the Nova 7 series, the Nova 7i too was announced and launched with Android 10 out-of-the-box. This is one of the many reasons why it will get Android 11-based EMUI 11 in the near future once both pieces of the software puzzle launch later this year.
