Supergirl is stronger than Superman. She was older than Superman when she left Krypton, so if Superman is super because the gravity on Krypton was denser than on Earth, then by that same logic Kara SHOULD be MUCH stronger since she was (physically) a full grown teenager, capable of all basic physical abilities.

Despite this, she has never had a definitive arch-enemy, though recently, Reign and Emerald Empress have taken on this role.She stabs Reign in the back, and it doesn't kill her, but it does release her hold on Supergirl. Sam is knocked out, but it gives Supergirl a chance to throw Reign into the cauldron. As she dies, Reign's laser eyes go haywire and catch both Alura and Mon-El in their path. Both die.
