The good. Now that the Blazer is a crossover rather than an old-school SUV, it rides and handles well for its size. The suspension is softly sprung on the luxury-focused Premier model, while the RS trim aims for a more sporty ride. The Blazer also shares more with Chevy cars than trucks when it comes to styling.

The EPA says front-drive Blazers with the inline-4 engine earn gas-mileage ratings of 22 mpg city, 27 highway, 24 combined. It pegs the V-6 front-drive Blazer at 20/26/22 mpg. With all-wheel drive, it puts the V-6 Blazer at 18/25/21 mpg.
As the larger of the two, the Blazer has the more spacious cabin. In total, the Blazer has 107.8 cubic feet of cargo space, which bests the Equinox's 103.2 cubic feet of space. For the Equinox, the figures are 29.9 cubic feet and 63.9 cubic feet, respectively.
Both the 2019 Equinox and 2019 Blazer offer a comfortable 2 row vehicle, with the Blazer providing additional legroom and cargo room. The 2019 Equinox provides 63.5 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down while the 2019 Blazer provides 64.2 cubic feet of cargo room. A small increase.

The Equinox is a compact crossover, while the Blazer is a mid-size offering. The main difference between the two crossovers may be size, but there's a lot of other things that separate them. Despite being similar, there are some large differences between the Blazer and the Equinox that allows one to shine.
