The Chevy Malibu is a good car, but it's not a great one. Its ride is comfortable, handling is well-balanced, and fuel economy estimates are impressive. In fact, it has the lowest overall interior rating in the midsize car class.
The Malibu LT rewards you with a few additional upgrades, including an eight-way power driver seat and satellite radio. While the Malibu LS will turn heads on the road, the Malibu LT offers a stunning Redline appearance package. It outfits the sedan with a set of 19-inch black wheels and special styling treatments.
The Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima are mid-size sedan stalwarts, and each have been recently redesigned, offering great tech, crash test scores, and safety equipment.
Put simply, the LT is a trim above the LS in virtually all Chevy models. And, while we are proud of our LS offerings, if you're looking for a Chevy that's a cut above the rest, then LT trims are often your best bet.

Only 3,773 of the SS coupes and convertibles built in 1970 had the 454-cid V-8s, and only a relative handful were LS6 editions. The hardtops came with a sticker price of $3,312. The convertibles were $200 more. A scant 3,733 buyers opted for the SS-454 option package on Chevrolet's potent Chevelle in 1970.
The '70 SS would have either "SS/396" or "SS/454" emblems on the fenders (and on the tailgate of the El Camino). The Chevelle SS had a white "SS" logo in the black rubber pad on the rear bumper. Both the Chevelle SS and El Camino SS had a large "SS" grille emblem (without any engine size).
The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized automobile which was produced by Chevrolet in three generations for the 1964 through 1978 model years. The Malibu, the top of the line model through 1972, completely replaced the Chevelle nameplate for the redesigned, downsized 1978 model year.
#5 • Nov 2, 2010. To most car people a SS clone is a Malibu with a SS hood, SS wheels, all the SS badges and emblems inside and out. Most go as far as putting a Big Block in the place of a small block engine.
You can tell if the engine is original at least. The small block and big block engines alike are identified by a casting number, found at the left rear of the block on the flange forward of the bell housing.
Each of these new Chevy trucks also comes with a number of body style options, with the LT having five options and the LTZ having three options. The only major difference here is that the LT trim offers a Regular Cab option in both a standard and long box -- the LTZ does not offer a long box option.

The 2019 Chevy Malibu is offered in six different trim levels – L, LS, RS, LT, Premier and Hybrid. Each of these trim levels has its own starting price along with a unique set of standard features. With these options, there is sure to be a model that fits the needs and the budget of every driver.
The High Country comes with all of the LTZ features, but it also adds even more modern luxury with seating ventilation and heated second-row seats. On the infotainment front, the seven-speaker premium Bose audio system offers next-level sound and the wireless charging pad makes it easy to keep that battery up to snuff.
The LS trim level has a four-way manual driver's seat, while the LT trim has an eight-way power driver's seat. Put simply, the LT is a trim above the LS in virtually all Chevy models.

That's the bell tolling for the Chevrolet Malibu, the American midsize sedan which somehow avoided the axe when General Motors killed six car models last fall as part of its North American restructuring plan.
