Asics spends its cash on R&D, not promotion, and in my opinion, make a better running shoe. Nike kills it in style though and I wear them on the street day to day. I would love to say Nike but Asics. I have low arches and Asics have much better arch support and are all around more comfortable than any Nikes I've owned.

The left hand side is FAKE Onitsuka tiger while the right one is Authentic one. You can see on Authentic shoes the stitching done perfectly right up to the end of the stripes line and very neat, while the FAKE's one has uneven stitching and poorly done. Like all Tigers, they run a little big. For parkour, I like my shoes to be very snug with almost no room for my foot to travel in the shoe. I'm a size 10 and ordered a size 10 instead of my usual 9.5 in Tiger size. It's not bad, but it's looser than a size 10 in most any other type of shoe.
Yes, you can run in Onitsuka Tigers, but if you are going to be running seriously then you should probably get a pair of ASICS instead, and regard these as more of a lifestyle shoe. Yes, I have found Onitsuka Tigers to be very comfortable and stylish. But some styles do have a more of a cushion and comfort than others.
They definitely run narrow, I'd say get a half size bigger if you've got wide feet.
