Visitors can gain entrance to Sea Pines by purchasing a visitor pass at the main gate for $9 (Standard 2 axle vehicle; Note additional cost for larger vehicles applies). Effective August 1, 2020, the daily visitor gate fee rate increased to $9.00 (Cash only). Please note commercial vehicles have a separate price.
Sea Pines is open to the public and general visitors are required to pay a fee based on vehicle type and length of stay to enter into the community.

In short, Hilton Head is a much more upscale place than Myrtle Beach. It doesn't have the 'in your face' commercialism that you would find in places like Daytona and Cocoa Beach. Both have their pros and cons. If you have teenagers, they will enjoy Myrtle Beach more.
