Aetna* health benefits and health insurance plans cover most types of health care from a doctor or hospital. But they do not cover everything. The plan covers recommended preventive care and care that you need for medical reasons. It does not cover services you may just want to have, like plastic surgery.

Yes, various medical tests are covered under the family mediclaim policy. These tests include blood tests, stool tests, CT scans, X-rays, sonography, MRI, and so on. However, a proper prescription is required and the test must be a part of the treatment of an ailment mentioned in your health insurance policy.
Quest's rival, LabCorp, also offers antibody testing at its own locations and at Walgreens stores, although tests need to be prescribed by a doctor or health care provider. Quest stock has outperformed, rising by about 4% year-to-date, compared to LabCorp stock which is down by about 3%.

Quest Diagnostics offers many laboratory tests and screening services. Medicare covers tests performed at Quest, as long they're medically necessary and the specific facility accepts Medicare. Medicare Part B or Medicare Advantage (Part C) will cover the cost of your tests.
Test requests can be accepted on non-Labcorp forms. Our staff will verify the testing details with the ordering provider. Please bring the test request form your doctor provided, along with your insurance information and identification, to your local Labcorp facility.

An automated payment collection process is available at many of our patient service centers, as well as certain doctor's offices where a phlebotomist (person who performs blood draws) is on site to perform specimen collection services for Labcorp. We accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards.

LabCorp currently has a total of nearly 2,000 patient service sites. The test packages range in price from $19 for a routine urine analysis to $199 for the men's health package. Patients will pay out of pocket for the testing, as LabCorp says it does not bill to insurance companies.
