Fleet Week is a United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and United States Coast Guard tradition in which active military ships recently deployed in overseas operations dock in a variety of major cities for one week. At certain hours, the public can take a guided tour of the ships.
The 2020 main shows begin on Saturday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. sharp, when the Blue Angels can be seen soaring directly over the Golden Gate Bridge. However, if you'd like to see them earlier in the day, the warm-up show begins at noon, and it is jaw-droppingly impressive as well.

History. San Francisco Fleet Week (SFFW) began in 1981 when then-Mayor Dianne Feinstein led the nation in celebrating America's sea services. SFFW features a unique training and education program that brings together civilian and military forces to develop and share best practices in humanitarian assistance.

- SF Pier 30/32: USS Somerset, a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock of the United States Navy.
- Pier 35N (10am to 2pm): USS Zumwalt.

Fleet Week San Diego honors and celebrates the men and women of the military through events that entertain and alliances that thank and support these heroes. In June of 1935, San Diego hosted the inaugural Fleet Week celebration as part of the California Pacific International Exposition.
