Dark-type Pokémon have resistances to Ghost, other Dark, and Psychic-type Pokémon. But they are vulnerable to Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type moves.
Steel is the best defending pokémon type, probably due to its immunity to Poison and many resistances. It wins by an over 20% margin against the second type.

By that same token, ghost types are
effective against psychic types, and dragon types are weak to fairy attacks.

What is Dragon weak against?
#1 - Feebas. Feebas is one of the rarest Pokemon of all. It is an almost infamous amount of rarity. In the original Ruby and Sapphire games, it would only appear in six tiles of the Route 119 river.
Without a doubt Blastoise. In competitive, neither are very good but Blastoise Mega is infinitely better than Gyarados Mega. Also, Blastoise isn't 4x week to electric like Gyarados, which basically guarantees that it's more playable.
Gyarados has some of the highest HP stats in the game, complemented by great Attack, Defense, Speed and Special ratings. While it can't learn Fly (or any other Flying attacks) in Blue, Red or Yellow, it is able to learn a range of powerful non-Water/Flying attacks from HMs and TMs.
There aren't many Ghost-Type Legendary Pokemon, but the ones that exist are amazing. There are only a handful of Ghost Legendaries, and although there are some great Ghost Mythical Pokemon as well, none of them will be included in this particular list.
