Terra is the aetheric power of nature. Terra weapons are strong against Shock Behemoths, while Terra armour is weak to. Shock Behemoth attacks. Terra weapons can proc an elemental status effect on Behemoths which will spawn Terra orbs that seek out and heal injured Slayers who are doing damage to the Behemoth.
Behemoth is an Elder Dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter: World.
Since the Shrike is a Neutral Behemoth, it will not have any elemental weaknesses. Bring your best loadout to deal as much damage as you can to the Shrike, while at the same time resisting as much damage as you can with your armor.
Dauntless is a less hardcore, more friendly monster hunting game. The combat is less rewarding, but still fun to execute. The monsters feel less alive, but still interesting to fight. Behemoths can become enraged after taking a significant amount of damage from Slayers. This is indicated by a quick burst of red aether in a sphere around the Behemoth as well as a residual glow from the body and eyes.

Unlock Escalation by progressing to Dire Behemoths in Dauntless' campaign. Progress to Escalation level five, and get your weapon and armor level each to 450 or above - this unlocks Escalation's “Hard” difficulty.
The aether strikers deal primarily in blunt damage. The heavy attacks on the strikers are also excellent for interrupting Behemoths when they charge in. The next time a Shrike, Embermane, or Riftstalker dives towards you, don't back down.
By default, the Chain Blades will not be able to boop Behemoths, and requires +6 Weighted Strikes perk to boop.

There is a minimum damage threshold that must be met to deal stagger damage, so often a lower damage-dealing weapon like Chain Blades will not deal stagger damage when attacking. Cells that increase or deal stagger damage include Knockout King, Pacifier, and Weighted Strikes.

Stalker's Mercy is a Weapon in Dauntless. Weapons are made from Trophies (Breakparts) obtained from Behemoths that can be crafted by the town's weaponsmith Wils Bormen.
Can behemoths heal Dauntless? Like you stated, Behemoths are only supposed to heal when they have no player to target, and using the Chain Blades special should not be triggering it.
Behemoth health in Dauntless scales depending on the amount of players in the hunt, so try tackling it privately, or even solo if you've got no buddies on to play with.

When you start playing the game you are ranked as E which is the lowest rank in Dauntless and progress later on depending on how well you fought in the battle.
Heroic + Behemoths are the Behemoths that you face in the end-game. They share the same movesets as the Heroic variant, but hit much harder than Heroics variants.
Behemoths can become Aether-charged during fights, which boosts their power and gives them a new set of attacks. Rather than glowing red like they do when they're enraged, a Behemoth will take on physical characteristics of the element it uses when it's Aether-charged, and its elemental attacks will also be powered up.
They can be destroyed by damage to remove their penalty and empower the primal behemoth and rebuilt be interacting to restore the penalty and remove the primal behemoth's corresponding buff.
