The United States Armed Forces are the military forces of the United States of America. It consists of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.
The Space Force is intended to include all uniformed and civilian personnel within the Department of Defense conducting and supporting space operations, centralizing management of space professionals.

Becoming an independent service on 20 December 2019, the U.S. Space Force continues to wear the same uniforms that it did as Air Force Space Command, although its first Chief of Space Operations, General John W. Raymond, is working on establishing its own distinctive uniform program.
The United States Space Force (USSF) is the space warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces, and is one of the eight U.S. uniformed services. Certain Space Force components will be assigned, as directed by the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of the Air Force, to unified combatant commands.
Application period opens May 1. The U.S. Space Force announced recently the opportunity for U.S. Air Force active duty members to volunteer to officially transfer into the new service begins May 1.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Preparations are underway to officially transition Florida's Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to the U.S. Space Force. There is still no firm date for the actual name change but it could happen sometime in March, said Brig.

United States Space Force rank insignia. United States Space Force rank insignia are used to indicate the rank and status of its officers and enlisted personnel. As of April 2020, the only military ranks in use by the U.S. Space Force are the rank of general, second lieutenant and chief master sergeant.
