Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a new action-adventure game where you assemble a custom starship mounted to your game controller to launch into an interplanetary adventure. Lead a group of heroic interstellar pilots who use modular starships to mix and match their unique gear and skills on the fly.
First, Starlink: Battle for Atlas will take up 12.7GB of space on Nintendo Switch. For comparison, the PS4 version requires 17.12GB, so the game is about 25% smaller on Nintendo Switch.
There are 4 types of ships and pilots. While the game can be played digitally, it also features toys-to-life elements in which the player can buy toys, which are ship components, for the game.

You can help Fox out by starting the side quest called A Wolf in Atlas, which begins on the planet Haven. The Star Fox crew is integrated into the core story for Starlink. Fox and company come upon the Starlink crew when the Equinox is under attack and fall down to the planet Kirite with them.

The game itself should work in the Switch Lite. But the the game controller adapter StarLink uses for those physical SpaceShips (like the one included in the pack) will work only with Joy on controllers. The game itself should work in the Switch Lite.
Answer: Yes, the game will work with the lite, however you won't be able to have the interactive mode with the physical toys.
I recommend the Nadir, the ship itself is the fastest in the game, its pilot has an extremely useful ability in harder areas of the game and the Nullifier weapon is pretty much essential. The Nadir most likely offers the most bang for you buck.
Commentary: You don't need to buy toy starships to play Starlink: Battle for Atlas. But they'll still dictate how you play the game. It's an action-packed space adventure with open-world planets to explore and modular toy starships that control everything.
Press 'A' (or 'X' on PlayStation) to change loadout, then press 'A' again to change your ship. You'll now be presented with a screen with all your available ships. Move to the one that you want to use, and press 'A' ('Link') to select the ship.
