The slang appears early as the 1860s for “political influence,†apparently based on a centuries-old sense of clout meaning “punch†or “force.†A person with clout can get things done on Capitol Hill or Wall Street. Clout got new life in the 2000s with the rise of social media.

The meaning of blue. Blue is a serene and calming color that represents intelligence and responsibility. Blue is cool and relaxing. Light baby blue is peaceful, while dark blue can signify depth and power.
Color is the element of art that is produced when light, striking an object, is reflected back to the eye: that's the objective definition.
Understanding the Color Wheel
- Three Primary Colors (Ps): Red, Yellow, Blue.
- Three Secondary Colors (S'): Orange, Green, Violet.
- Six Tertiary Colors (Ts): Red-Orange, Yellow-Orange, Yellow-Green, Blue-Green, Blue-Violet, Red-Violet, which are formed by mixing a primary with a secondary.
Color has three main characteristics: hue (red, green, blue, etc.), value (how light or dark it is), and intensity (how bright or dull it is). Colors can be described as warm (red, yellow) or cool (blue, gray), depending on which end of the color spectrum they fall. Value describes the brightness of color.
By these definitions, clear is not a color at all, and is considered colorless.
Some consider white to be a color, because white light comprises all hues on the visible light spectrum. And many do consider black to be a color, because you combine other pigments to create it on paper. But in a technical sense, black and white are not colors, they're shades. They augment colors.
On one hand yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, remembrance, intellect, honor, loyalty, and joy, but on the other, it represents cowardice and deceit. A dull or dingy yellow may represent caution, sickness, and jealousy.
Light travels into the eye to the retina located on the back of the eye. The retina is covered with millions of light sensitive cells called rods and cones. When these cells detect light, they send signals to the brain. Cone cells help detect colors.
Red is the color at the long wavelength end of the visible spectrum of light, next to orange and opposite violet. Reds range from the brilliant yellow-tinged scarlet and vermillion to bluish-red crimson, and vary in shade from the pale red pink to the dark red burgundy.
Grey or gray (American English alternative; see spelling differences) is an intermediate color between black and white. It is a neutral color or achromatic color, meaning literally that it is a color "without color", because it can be composed of black and white.
