Over time, dirt, dust and other residual materials can get trapped in crevices between the buttons. If the area is accessible, a quick blast of compressed air can dislodge the debris enough to knock it out of the controller. If this doesn't work, you may need to clean the buttons from the inside.
The DualSense differs from previous iterations of PlayStation DualShock controllers with some added bulk, but nonetheless has a similar layout of buttons from the DualShock 4: PlayStation button: Similar to the home button of past controllers, only it's now a PlayStation shaped button.

Sony's DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment. It's $30 and adds two programmable buttons to the back of your PS4 controller. The back buttons stretch all the way out to the handles of the gamepad, so you don't have to strain to press either one.
The colour that is assigned depends on the order in which each user presses the PS button. The first controller to connect is blue, the second is red, the third is green, and the fourth is pink.

Front. Press the touch pad to use the touch pad button. Press down on the stick to use it as the R3 button. Press down on the stick to use it as the L3 button.
You don't need mice and keyboards marketed just for the PS4 or game consoles. Cancel zooming by pressing the Circle button, or by pressing the PS button and the Square button at the same time. Now that your device is connected, you can then go to Second Screen and select the Keyboard option.
Pause break should be the PS button on the keyboard. I had to go back and look through my old comments to find that as I answered this question for someone else 5 months ago and forgot what button it was myself.
Choose the “Select” button and you'll see a list of all your installed games and apps; put a tick against whatever you want to add and hit “Confirm”. You can add up to 1000 games and apps to each folder – so even with a 1TB PS4 and a serious gaming habit, you'll have to go a long way to fill them up!

In order to remove the PS button on the controller, you must first remove the rubber cover with your fingers. Then using the metal tweezers, remove the PS button.
