So obsessive was her love that she won't hesitate to sacrifice them because to her, the only important thing is that she and Yuki survive the game.

Yuno killed herself because she realized how much she loved Yukki and that she couldn't continue on killing Yukki and going to new worlds to win the survival game again.
As for the reason Yuno wants to kill Yuki, to make it short and to not spoil is because she sees no way to avoid it the "process" of fate so she wants to repeat it over and over again, since she wants to be with Yuki anyway she can, so she doesn't care which world Yuki it is, or at least thats her current thinking.
Yuno endured this abuse for years knowing that her mother was suffering, but eventually, she snapped and locked her parents in the same cage, with the same treatment, thinking the same treatment she suffered would make them loving parents again. This did not work, and her parents died from dehydration.

This did not work, and her parents died from dehydration. Though dead, she becomes as a major part of the series since Second World Yukiteru Amano sees her remains when he chooses to open the door in Yuno's home. Her remains will become important in Aru Akise's investigation of Yuno.
It's a really good anime and one of the few ones which have a good closure Don't forget to watch the OVA!! The series is VERY entertaining, but the writing is terrible. It's tied for my personal lowest-rated anime.
Future Diary Redial is a manga and OVA that acts as a conclusion to the Future Diary series. It includes a new Future Diary manga volume and an original anime DVD, with the latter running at about 25 minutes long.
Overall 9 - Mirai Nikki is a great and unique story, the characters are excellent especially Yuno, who is one of the most unique characters ive ever seen in an anime. Mirai Nikki is certainly worth giving a shot.
