Epoxy has the advantage of being waterproof and does a good job filling gaps in wood. Most other wood glues will not hold well if there is a gap between the pieces of wood that you are gluing together. In general, the longer it takes for the epoxy to cure, the stronger the bond will be, so patience will be rewarded.

The so-called synthetic resins used include polystyrene resin, polyurethane resin, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, acrylic resin and silicone resin. Epoxy resin has a lower viscosity than polyurethane resin; polyester resin also shrinks markedly while curing.
Some resin/hardener combinations are formulated to cure in temperatures as low as 35°F. However, simply using a hardener that cures in colder temperatures does not guarantee dependable bonds. Epoxy can be used at cold temperatures but must be handled and applied with techniques adapted to cold temperatures.
If your epoxy resin hasn't cured properly, this means that the chemical reaction between the resin and hardener was not able to take place. Sticky resin is typically caused by inaccurate measuring or under mixing. Try moving your piece to a warmer spot: if it doesn't dry, re-pour with a fresh coat of resin.
Air temperature is most often the ambient temperature unless the epoxy is applied to a surface with a different temperature. Generally, epoxy cures faster when the air temperature is warmer. Exothermic heat is produced by the chemical reaction that cures epoxy.
The biggest indicator, and turnoff, of using old epoxy is going to be the color change. After a while, it will become a yellowish color even after fully cured. Be aware of this before using old epoxy, you wouldn't want to ruin a project by having a yellow tint in what should be an otherwise crystal-clear pour.
After you pour the second coat of epoxy, it will look good as new! Depending on the epoxy you've chosen to work with, you'll have to wait between 4 and 24 hours before applying your second coat. Be sure to read your directions very thoroughly before beginning your project.

In short, YES a torch is the best tool to get rid of bubbles in epoxy resin. A hair dryer or heat gun doesn't get hot enough to remove bubbles efficiently and can blow dust all over your wet resin.
206 Slow Hardener is a low-viscosity epoxy curing agent for use when extended working time or a longer cure time is needed. It also provides adequate working time at higher shop temperatures.

If using 100% solids epoxy, your floor will be cured and walkable in about 12 - 18 hours. You can return to full heavy traffic after about 36 - 72 hours. Most epoxies reach full chemical cure within 7 days of application. When using polyaspartic, the cure times are increased – especially with 100% solids products.

Epoxy resin cures without any aids, UV resin only cures under UV irradiation. Its maximum layer thickness is 1mm. Epoxy resin allows layer thickness of up to 5cm per casting, on the other hand. UV resin always requires a UV lamp to cure and is therefore only suitable for smaller areas.
