The bar jack is a classically almond-shaped silvery fish with greyish-blue tints to it. It looks like other jacks, but gets its name from the distinguishing dark bar that runs down its back and into its caudal fin (tail), usually accompanied by a bright blue stripe.
Skipjack are the smallest and most abundant of the major commercial tuna species. They have a streamlined body that is mostly without scales. Their backs are dark purple-blue and their lower sides and bellies are silver with four to six dark bands. Skipjack can live as long as eight to 10 years.

Yellow Jacks are a species of fish that we have in South, Florida more commonly seen in the Florida Keys and Miami, but along most of the SE Florida Coast. They are often mistaken by anglers as an inedible or trash fish, to the unknowing eye.

The chain pickerel is a popular gamefish of freshwater lakes, rivers, creeks, and slightly brackish estuaries. Other names for this freshwater fish include southern pike, jack fish, federation pike, and federation pickerel.
