The easiest position in soccer is the position of full-back.
Midfielders have to run the most, but they also generally have the ball the most, too. Perhaps the most important soccer position besides the goalkeeper is the center midfielder.
Kids can start to try out of competitive soccer at around age 8 to 10. Some kids choose to wait a few years because of the pressure there is in competitive soccer.
The position that runs the least in soccer is the goalkeeper. Among the field players, those who run the least are central defenders, sweepers (or libero), and the creative midfielders. The ones that run the most are side defenders, defensive midfielders, and forwards.
Goalkeeping is the most unforgiving position on the pitch, and it offers very little opportunity for redemption. Strikers, for example, can make several poor efforts at goal and then “get into” the game. If they score, then those poor efforts are almost entirely forgotten about.
The extra size allows the hands to breathe and not to perspire too much. They should also enable the goalkeeper to grip the ball and hold on to shots where possible, rather than drop the ball at the feet of incoming forwards.
Easiest Sports To Play
- Running – I guess running is probably up there with the most easiest sports to play.
- Basketball – It is rewarding for anyone to grab the basketball and pass it through the basket.
- Volleyball – On the rise in popularity amongst many countries worldwide, it is of course volleyball.
At a younger age group (12 and below), usually everybody wants to play forward, and the best players usually play forward. At older age groups, especially at a higher completion level, there is usually lots of midfielders, as solid defenders and forwards can be very hard to come by.

A catcher is a sort of in-game pitching coach. Catcher is the hardest position because it is more physically demanding than any other position. Catchers must receive pitches in a squat position and they take a great deal of punishment from balls thrown in the dirt or foul-tipped by the batter.
