So it's safe to say Stranger things is probably not suitable for very young viewers. According to the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) all three seasons of Stranger Things have either been rated 12 or 15 overall.
Although Stranger Things is rated TV-14, upon binge-watching season two I think I'd personally give season one a PG-13 rating and the second season closer to an R rating, simply because the Duffer brothers turned everything from violence to swearing up a few notches in the show's latest nine episodes.
Overall, its not a “scary show” at all. The only things I found “scary”, as in creepy, eerie (in the “horror” movie sense), was some, not all, scenes about White Walkers and their wights. But other than that, the show isn't scary at all. Although be prepared for a lot of gore.
The characters come first.
Even if you're not someone who likes fantasy, you will enjoy Game of Thrones, because it's not so much a fantasy tale as it is an outstanding character-driven drama that just happens to be set in a fantasy setting.Although Stranger Things is rated TV-14, upon binge-watching season two I think I'd personally give season one a PG-13 rating and the second season closer to an R rating, simply because the Duffer brothers turned everything from violence to swearing up a few notches in the show's latest nine episodes.
Rated TV-MA for strong brutal medieval warfare and violence throughout including rape and torture, grisly and gory images, strong sexual content, graphic nudity, language, and brief alcohol use.

Typically, these scenes aren't these scenes of open, en masse battle, but rather the more isolated, slow and suspenseful ones.
Do not let your children between the ages of 10 to 18 to watch Game of Thrones. Some parents think that they should not let their children watch such shows alone. They should watch them together so they can discuss it later.
Game of thrones is an adults novel, that's true. But some kids can read it,understand It and like it. It depends on the person, bit I think that's mature kids of more than eleven or twelve can read it
No, there isn't a censored version of GoT. It is produced by HBO, which isn't interested in censoring it's programs for a more easily-accessible audience. It would be impossible to create a censored version of Game of Thrones because oftentimes, during nude scenes, things are happening besides nudity.
Do not let your children between the ages of 10 to 18 to watch Game of Thrones. Explain to them why you do not want them to watch this show, and they can watch it when they would reach a specific age. Some parents think that they should not let their children watch such shows alone.
“Game of Thrones” was given an R-rating, as expected, for “sequences of brutal violence, and for language including sexual references.” I guess the trailer won't be offering up any naked ladies wandering around at random, which seems odd, considering how often similar scenes appear in the series.
Long story short, GoT is worth watching because they did things no other show has ever done. They created a modern epic that made the world of Ice and Fire accessible to audiences that dont read many books. The show, with all its failings, is still one of the best shows I've ever engaged in and I'm happy I did.
Just like seasons one and two, season three of Stranger Things features death, creepy alien-esque creatures, and the main characters – most of whom are who are children – are put in mortal peril. So it's safe to say Stranger things is probably not suitable for very young viewers.

Objectively, no. But yes, I found them hard to read because he just couldn't hold my attention. One instance where the TV show is better than the books, and even that got old before it got cancelled. If you like the way his mind works, the books aren't any harder to read than any other fantasy novel, but lordy!
The cussing isn't gratuitous, even if much else in Game of Thrones is — in almost all instances in both the books and the TV show, swear words build character. While I recognize that there is at least an internal logic to the cursing, I still cringe every time I hear a "f---" or its ilk in Westeros or Essos.
Yeah, it is hard to understand as there are a lot of characters and a lot of backstory. Also it's a pretty different world. If you would like to get really invested in the Game of Thrones world, I recommend reading the books to have a more in-depth knowledge of the TV series.
I would recommend waiting until at least puberty to read the books. Some parents don't allow reading until age 18. Some at age 16, which in my opinion is a fair age.
Yes there are the books are even more confusing then the television show by far. The books offer more characters, and even more story plots, but most of the characters that the books offer or actually distractions for the reader, not to focus on the story plots, that are actually important, and relevant to the story.
If you cross reference the AR reading level of Game of Thrones (a 5.5) with the lexile chart it would come in somewhere between a 900-1100.
But the show has lots of swearing. The children say s--t frequently, no "F" word mentioned in the show at all.
Parent reviewers on Common Sense Media agree that the show is ideal for kids aged 13 and up, and there's a decent chance that you'll become as addicted to the series as your teenager! Riverdale touches on mental health topics in a way that you may want to explore in more depth with your child.
Friends is the best!
I'm 12 and I love watching friends! They say it's violent, but it isn't that violent. A few people trip and fall, nose bleeds, that's about it. I don't recommend anyone under 11 watches it, because it has sex implied, and kissing.Friends is the best!

Stranger Things is a horror show, which means it can have jump scares, be creepy, gory, etc. There is a few good jump scares for a warning. But other than that I think it is definitely appropriate for a 12 year old!!
Great for 11 and up
Stranger things is a great show that I believe is good for kids 11 and up. There is some thematic moments that might scare sensitive viewers. There are moments were there are kissing, underage drinking, and swearing.Common Sense says 14+, or “older teens & adults.” However, everyday parents & kids both say that 12 years is an appropriate age to watch the show.
