Newstalk (formerly NewsTalk 106) is an independent radio station in the Republic of Ireland. It is operated by News 106 Limited, a subsidiary of Denis O'Brien's Communicorp, and broadcasts under a sound broadcasting contract with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland.
It is owned by the Irish media company Communicorp, which was formed by Denis O'Brien in 1989.
Anton Savage left the radio station on 2 December 2016 due to a disagreement with the radio station, and was replaced by Dermot Whelan and Dave Moore.
