You have to legally own a vehicle to store it inside a hangar or garage. You cannot keep a stolen vehicle or aircraft in GTA 5 and GTA Online.

If you want to have a Hangar closer to the jet spawn points, then Fort Zancudo Hangar A2 is your best choice, though all Hangars in Fort Zancudo allow you to enter the military base without Wanted Level.
In order to save a vehicle to a hangar, it must be landed and taxied into the hangar. After it's been parked, it will be saved to that character's hangar. Each of the three main characters will have their own library of airplanes.
There are five hangars available for sale on the map: two are at Los Santos International Airport on the northeast side of the city, and three are at Fort Zancudo. Aside from their actual map location, there are no effective differences between the hangars.

Is worth do it? Hangar can hold up to max amount of 50 crates of 1 type or combined in several types of product (narcotics, animal material, art). Each crate sells for 10k no matter of their type but BONUSES are not the same.
Narcotics, Medical Supplies, and Chemical are all equally profitable and are the top.

By purchasing an Hangar at Fort Zancudo, players will be allowed to drive or fly into the base without incurring a wanted level. Hangars come with space to store and customize up to 20 of a player's Personal Aircraft and a computer that is used to manage the Air-Freight Business, which allows to Source and Sell Cargo.
Tip: Cocaine production is the most profitable (on par with the gunrunning bunker), with the cheapest cocaine business costing $975k to buy, although sell missions often take longer to complete. Buying supplies is more time effective.

Regular Cargobob doesn't require you to have a Hangar. It's a Pegasus Aircraft. But if you do have a hangar, you can bring in the Pegasus Cargobob, and make a copy of it.
