Digital and social media helps people learn about touching stories of people from different faiths and communities helping each other even in the face of certain death. Digital media presents a unique opportunity for mankind to aspire to a truly tolerant and civilized society.
Besides local invention, cultures can also change through cultural diffusion. Cultural diffusion is the spread of ideas, beliefs, and goods from one place to another. When people from one culture interact with people from another, aspects of culture tend to spread from one place to another.
Some examples of new media are computer animations, computer games, human-computer interfaces, interactive computer installations, websites, and virtual worlds. Social media or social networking services, such as Facebook and Twitter, are another example of new media in which most users are also participants.
