Wolf (???, Wolf) is an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He was confirmed on the Smash Dojo website on March 31st, 2008. Wolf is voiced by Jay Ward in the English version and by Mahito Ōba in the Japanese version.
How to unlock
- Play 400 VS. matches.
- Complete Classic Mode with any character on any difficulty after finishing The Subspace Emissary.
- Find Toon Link in The Forest stage after completing the Subspace Emissary. It can be found by entering a secret door close to the beginning of the level.
How to unlock
- Play 350 Brawls, and then defeat Jigglypuff.
- Find Jigglypuff in the Swamp stage after completing the Subspace Emissary. It can be found through the first door after defeating the False Giant Diddy Kong.
- Alternately, after completing the Subspace Emissary, event matches 1-20 can be completed.
Boss Battles Mode is unlocked after the player completes both Classic Mode & The Subspace Emissary for the first time, or in other words, has defeated each boss at least once (aside from Crazy Hand).
Zero Suit Samus (????????, Zero Suit Samus), often abbreviated as ZSS, 0SS, or Zamus, is a newcomer that appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. She also can transform back by using her Final Smash, Power Suit Samus.
You unlock Samus by playing as Pit in the VS. Game Mode. With her Charge Shot, Missile, and Bomb, Samus has three different projectiles to keep her opponents in check from a distance.
Melee. While Zero Suit Samus does not appear, a special trophy called "Samus Unmasked" shows Samus with her helmet in her hand.
Physical appearance. Samus Aran is a human. According to the Super Metroid Players' Guide, she is 6 feet 3 inches tall (roughly 190 cm) and weighs 198 pounds (roughly 90 kilograms); however, the manual of Metroid II: Return of Samus attributes these measurements to her Power Suit instead.
Zero Suit Samus (????????, Zero Suit Samus) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, officially confirmed on June 12th, 2018. Once again, Zero Suit Samus is unconnected to the standard playable Samus, although she temporarily transforms into the latter during her Final Smash.
Zero Suit Samus is very good in ultimate in a 1v1 or pvp setting. Probably mid-high to high tier. Her dash grab has the longest range in the game (but not her standing grab), and her down special gives her additional movement options. She can juggle and edge-guard quite well.
The starting character is Samus. Once you beat the classic mode with Samus you will unlock Inkling. Unlocking Inkling will allow you to unlock Wii Fit Trainer, then Pit, then Incineroar, which will allow you to unlock Dark Samus.
Snake
- Play 130 matches in Brawl mode, and then defeat Snake.
- Get Snake to join your party in the Subspace Emissary.
- Play 15 matches on Shadow Moses Island, and defeat Snake.
Lucario can be unlocked through various means, both by playing Classic Mode, Vs. Smash Matches, and he can be unlocked in the World of Light Adventure Mode. Classic Mode: Beat Classic Mode 1 time as Yoshi or anyone he unlocks to get Lucario.
To unlock Ganondorf you must go to classic mode, choose Link or Zelda/Sheik, as many lives and continues and must be hard level or higher. Now beat the Master Hand, and you'll unlock Ganondorf.
matches (Special Melee matches seem to count, too). The unique method is usually faster, but keep in mind that 1000 total matches will unlock every character. One way to speed through that huge number is to set up each match as follows: 1-stock, 1 vs. 1, pick a fast character and just run off the stage immediately.
How to Unlock
- Play 70 Brawls.
- Beat Classic Brawl Mode on the Normal difficulty setting or greater in less than 12 minutes.
- Get Captain Falcon to join the party in The Subspace Emissary.
Zero Suit Samus will normally jump up and forwards in the direction she is facing, and then land facing the other way. However, if the opposite direction is tapped as soon as the move is used, she will flip backwards. This is effective for playing mind games, as opponents cannot predict the strike.
