Samsung Pay on your Gear works even if you don't have your phone with you. Payments are safe as all payments will have to be authenticated by your secure PIN which you can set on your Gear during setup. Samsung Pay on Gear does not store or share your payment information, so you can pay without worries.
Note: Samsung Pay is only available on select phone and watch models. To use Samsung Pay on your smart watch with a non-Samsung phone, you must update to Android 6.0 or higher.

Called Samsung Pay Mini, the app will allow iPhone users to enter their credit card information to make payments within online stores.
All major carriers in the US support Samsung Pay: AT&T, Cricket, MetroPCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and US Cellular. You will also need a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express card. See the full list of supported banks and cards in the chart below.
Samsung Pay on the Galaxy Watch Active2 is only compatible with select cards, carriers, and Samsung devices and non-Samsung Android phones. Samsung Pay on the Galaxy Watch Active2 is compatible only with NFC-type payment terminals.
Use your Galaxy Watch to make payments using Samsung Pay. Press and hold the Back button or open Samsung Pay on the App screen. Tap Pay. Touch the top of the Galaxy Watch to the card reader or place the watch screen close to where you swipe the card.

- 1 Press and hold the Back button on your Galaxy Watch Active2.
- 2 Enter your PIN.
- 3 Rotate the visual bezel to select card.
- 4 Tap "PAY".
- 5 Place your Galaxy Watch Active2 close to the card reader.
- 6 When the card reader recognises the card information, the payment will be processed.
From the watch screen, press the Home button to open the apps screen. Tap Connections. Tap NFC.
Google Pay is not supported on Galaxy Watches.
Samsung Pay is accepted in more places than Apple Pay because it doesn't require special NFC-based terminals. It's capable of working with a regular magnetic stripe reader that's otherwise used for swiping debit and credit cards, thanks to special technology Samsung received when it acquired a company named LoopPay.
Samsung charges no fees for Samsung Pay, one-ups mobile payment competitor Apple.

If you don't already have a Samsung phone, Samsung Pay isn't a good reason to buy one. The proliferation of NFC technology means you'll get plenty of use out of Google Pay, and the app is more enjoyable to use. Even if you do have a Samsung phone, Samsung Pay might not be worth your time.
Samsung Pay is the mobile payment service developed and offered by Samsung. However, whilst Google Pay is available on all Android devices that support NFC technology, Samsung Pay is limited to Samsung devices only. The primary difference that Samsung Pay has from its competitor is that it doesn't only use NFC.
Some other possible reasons why the transaction is declined even though the card still appears in the Samsung Pay app include: An incorrect PIN has been entered at the terminal. Your card is not activated, has been blocked or closed. Your card has expired and you have not yet activated your re-issued card.
McDonald's announced on Tuesday that it now accepts Softcard for NFC-based mobile payments on Android at its restaurants across the United States. The fast food chain already accepts Google Wallet at McDonald's locations where payment terminals support the MasterCard PayPass and Visa payWave contactless systems.
In the Samsung Pay app, you can now earn cash back when you buy something from select merchants. You'll earn money for everything you buy from a participating merchant's online store or app during the promotional period.
Shoppers who have mobile payment set up in their iPhone, Samsung Galaxy phone or Android phone or wearable devices will be able to hold their device near the card reader at checkout to complete their purchase.
Samsung Pay works by acknowledging and accepting payments via the same machines that accept credit cards. Alongside, Samsung Pay works with NFC terminals. This means that credit card machines that have MasterCard PayPass and VISA payWave logos can also acknowledge and accept payment via Samsung Pay.
Samsung Pay Your payment information is not accessible without your fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN. For added security, the Samsung Find My Mobile service can remotely lock or erase your payment cards in Samsung Pay. Alternatively, you can choose to erase your entire device and/or removable storage.
